Scientific Documentation of the COSMO model

...

The scientific documentation of the COSMO model is available on the COSMO webpage. The  All parts of the documentation for model version 5.00 (November 2013) and 5.05 (February 2018) are now holding a DOI and are stored permanently. The documentation includes the documentation of the COSMO model, the pre-processing program INT2LM, and a User's Guide. It is updated regularly. However, it is never "up to date" since the documentation takes a lot of time. Recent developments are documented  documented in COSMO Technical Reports and in articles in the COSMO-Newsletters.

Standard references for the COSMO model and its components

A collection of scientific publications that can be used as standard references for the COSMO model and its components is available on the COSMO webpage (make sure that the box “only standard references” is ticked otherwise you get a list of COSMO releated publications): http://cosmo-model.org/content/model/documentation/journals/default.htm?core

Please cite the appropriate papers in your publications!

The COSMO model is written in FORTRAN 90 . The code development is based on the European standards for writing and documenting exchangeable FORTRAN 90 code. Its details Further regulations are specified in the “COSMO standards for source code development” (Appendix F of the CLM-Community Agreement; see Terms & conditions for the latest version).
